Applications
The ALTA "L" cradles are composed by 2 or 3 m modular sections to make a range of powered platforms from 4 to 12 m length. Compatible with all types of suspensions such as BMUs ( Viper and Venus), monorails, parapet trolleys and Davits.
Description
Cradle
- 2 hot dip galvanized steel stirrups
- Aluminium floor panel
- Aluminium guard-rails and panels
- Guard-rail covered with full aluminium clad sheet
Lifting mechanism
Two tirak™ traction hoists equipped with a service brake, an overload detecting device and a centrifugal brake.
Suspension wire ropes
Galvanized steel Ø 8 mm wire ropes, one lifting wire rope and one safety wire rope per suspension point.
Fall arrest device
Two blocstop™ BSA fall arrest devices fixed on each stirrup engage on the safety wire ropes in the event of a failure on the lifting wire rope. The blocstop™ also ensures the detection of a tilting cradle.
Wire rope reeler
The suspension wire ropes are wound on two powered double reelers with friction clutches.
Control box
The electrical control unit (34) controls lifting and lowering and ensures power supply and control of traversing movements when powered monorail trolleys are used.
