Load Measurement Calibration

Tractel offers calibration services for its load measurement (Dynafor) product family. New products are calibrated in our workshops. Load measurement products are accepted for repair, checking and re-calibration as required.

Load measurement calibration may be carried out within the terms of a Tractel service contract or on an ad hoc basis. All work is compliant with Tractel standards and local regulations for load measurement calibration.

Calibration operation Dynafor

The calibration is divided into 2 steps. Step 1 is the adjustment, that consist of setting the right values and step 2 is the calibration, that consist of verifying the adjusted values.
To ensure very precise measurement, Dynafors are individually adjusted and calibrated at the factory according to the following procedure:

  • Mandrels are placed to hold the Dynafor device inside until it is locked.
  • The Dynafor device is connected to the computer and turned on to read the measurement.
  • The Dynafor serial number is entered into the computer to enable full auditable traceability of the system. The calibration process can start.

Measuring loads

  • After positioning, the test bench applies several loads (defined by a procedure) to the Dynafor and reads two values:
    • The actual load of the master cell built in the machine that is pulling the Dynafor.
    • The measurement load value that the Dynafor is giving.
  • Formulas and parameters are entered in the Dynafor to correct the load displayed.
  • The test bench applies several loads in order to read that the new values of the Dynafor are correct and meet the requirements.

After completing the steps, the Dynafor is fully calibrated and ready to use.
