Arc de Triomphe Wrapped

For the “L’Arc de Triomphe Wrapped” project, the Christo team and Les Charpentiers de Paris chose Tractel to design and supply a number of access platforms.

These are specially adapted for the installation of the structures that support the covering fabric under the vault of the Arc de Triomphe.

After close cooperation during the design phase, two standards Scanclimber by Tractel platforms were adapted to meet specific customer requirements by Tractel Location Service. Two sliding trays have been integrated on each side of the platforms to best fit with the shape of the arch.

The whole Tractel team is very proud that through Tractel Location Service and Scanclimber we have been involved with this prestigious project.

This temporary artwork of Christo and Jeanne-Claude is in place at the Arc de Triomphe until October 3.
